Why we love this walk?

This lovely farm trail starts just outside of Low Sizergh Farm shop and café and offers free parking and free entry to the trail. The loop around the farm fields and woodlands is perfect for little legs (carriers are better than pushchairs for the very little ones). My four children LOVED this walk, there was plenty to see with streams, woodlands and stepping stones keeping them entertained for hours! The trail can get muddy so wellies are recommended.

Don’t forget to stop off at the farm shop and cafe when you return from your walk, they do the best hot chocolate and cakes!

Forty Farms Outdoor Exhibition

The Forty Farms Photographic Exhibition at Low Sizergh Barn is open every day: 9 am – 5.30 pm. There are no entry or parking fees.

The Exhibition (in association with H&H) features 40 large-format panels that are displayed along the Low Sizergh Barn farm trail. The panels show the work of British Life Photographer of the Year, Amy Bateman, and records the stories and images of Forty Farms in Cumbria during a time of change.

They capture the dedication and passion of our local farming families, and my children loved following the panels along the farm trail and finding out more about our local area.
