Sockbridge
What a lovely little find on the way to our camping trip at ParkFoot, Ullswater ? Sockbridge is a small village close to Pooley Bridge, postcode CA10 2JN. We were hunting a river walk and we hit the jackpot with this find – there was a park, a great picnic area and a wonderful walk down to the River Eamont.
This is a great 1.3 mile out and back walk for anyone who is keen to find a secluded family day trip in the Summer. There was a small bridge by the river and some great areas for paddling! We are always keen to find quiet stretches close to water.
