Lake District Wildlife Park

I have been visiting this wildlife park for as long as I can remember and it keeps getting better and better, especially as the children get older.

The Lake District Wildlife Park is ten miles from Keswick, CA12 4RD. It is actually very close to Binsey, a short Wainwright walk that I have previously reviewed. You could link both trips in one day if your little ones had bags of energy!

The wildlife park is a hit for us as 90% of the attraction is outside, which we obviously love. This was one of the first places I felt safe enough to visit as we were coming out of lockdown as there is so much outdoor space and it is very easy to keep your distance from others.

The children LOVE the bug & reptile talk and the highlight was definitely seeing Hermione’s little face light up watching the animals run around. I often forget that she hasn’t seen many animals up close, or visited many places like this, with being a lockdown baby!

If you are after a summer holiday day trip for your youngsters then this fills a day nicely.
