Holmrook & Drigg

This walk is a lovely, easy 3 mile route with no hills. The terrain is a mix of riverside paths, fields, farm tracks and a short section is on the main road (if you can class the road through Holmrook and Drigg as a ‘main!’ one).

We parked just over the bridge at Holmrook, in the lay-by before Holmrook Service Station. Nearest postcode: CA19 1YG.

We only passed one man and his dog too on the walk, so it was really peaceful (when Ronnie wasn’t talking ?). I highly recommend this walk for anyone wanting a nice easy walk away from the Lake District crowds.
