Dubwath Silver Meadows Nature Reserve

This is a lovely, easy route surrounded by beautiful views of the Lake District. There is plenty of lay-by parking next to the entrance and the route is pram accessible. The map shows the different paths you are able to take – there are also leaflets…. my kids LOVE a leaflet.

It is a short route of about 1 mile but you could opt to do it twice… it is a great walk to link in with a picnic, or bring some grandparents with you and make it a full family trip out.

This is a route that is certainly accessible to all, including wheelchairs. It could be one that would be quite nice for a Tikes Hikes walk over the summer months with a little picnic.

It is close to Bassenthwaite Lake if you decided to head there afterwards, equally it is very close to Sale fell and Ling fell, two Wainwright walks that I have previously reviewed.

Dubwath Silver Meadows may be a short walk, but it is in a prime location for so many things.
