Cogra Moss:

Please note Laura and her four children have not walked this walk, photos and words from @whereronniewalked:
There are a few walks close to Cogra Moss, for this walk we chose an out and back route.
We parked at the Felldyke car park (space for about 8-10 cars) which is free, and about a half mile track to the water. Once there, we continued on with the water to our left, and followed the path until just over half way around, until it started getting boggy in some places, so turned around and returned back to the car.
This is a lovely scenic walk perfect for little legs. If you are keen to find even better views you can take the small path upwards to the right (known as the Donkey Trod, watch out as the path is quite narrow in places, and all uphill, but not too long) which leads you along the higher fell road, enabling you to look down over Cogra Moss.
See Picture 2 for the 3 mile route that we took. The postcode for Felldyke Car Park is CA14 4SH.

This walk is part of the Forestry England Woodland Walks. Cogra Moss is a working forest and therefore some trails can be closed at times due to forest operations, or damage caused by recent storms. For all up to date information on the trails at Cogra Moss please access the Forestry England website here.
