Cairn Beck
Another lovely find along a public footpath connecting Broadwath and Heads Nook. Roadside parking at the village of Broadwath, postcode CA8 9BL.
This was a lovely two mile walk along the beck with the added excitement of crossing the train line… we even got lucky and saw a train.
Once again the children thoroughly enjoyed a play down by the water and I find this helps them to be distracted from the fact they are walking quite a distance for their little legs – there is always much less complaining when we have the excitement of water play, trees to climb and trains to spot.
An easy, local walk with lots of added excitement for little ones. I cannot wait until we are allowed to take a picnic on our walks and maybe even meet up with friends!
