The Route:

On this occasion we followed The Explorer Trail. This is recommended for families and at 2.2 miles it is the perfect distance for little legs. Throughout this walk there are plenty of exciting things to spot that will keep the children entertained.

All of the routes are very well marked, our trail had us following the orange signs. The children always love to look out for the markers, it also helps to entertain them! Although with the many things to see and do throughout the walk entertaining is something the children didn’t need!

Everywhere the children went there was another area for them to explore – it is a perfect nature playground. For those with older children the Low Ropes course and Disc Golf is sure to be a hit. As for the little legs of the family my children played for hours in the den building!

We completed our Explorers Trail at the Strawberry Castle play area where we enjoyed a bite to eat and an ice cream. Overall, a perfect family friendly day out for children of all ages.
