Why we love this walk
This walk is an ideal walk for those with children of all ages. The footpath follows the River Eden and the backdrop is beautiful. You can walk as much, or as little, as you would like with plenty to see on the way!
Please do take care, correct walking footwear is essential.

The Route
An easy to follow, route where you can do as much, or as little, as you would like. This footpath starts at Northern Viaduct Trust car park – free parking available. You follow the footpath along the River Eden, crossing three bridges in total – a highlight for the children!
We opted to do the shorter route at 1.7 miles but you could also do a longer loop which starts at Frank’s Bridge. Both routes follow clear footpaths, a map of these routes can be found on the Eden Rivers Trust website.
