Why we love this walk?
This is an excellent route for those who don’t want to climb a fell but still want a good walk. This relatively flat and easy walk offers breathtaking views of the surrounding area. The well marked path is often littered with wildlife – watch out for the adders! This also makes a great, and safe, route for wheels!

The Route
The Bolton Fell Moss Nature Reserve offers a boardwalk which takes you on a 2.5 mile walk around Bolton Fell Moss. On flat and easy paths, the walk passes through woodlands and around the old peat workings. This pedestrianised walk really is beautiful with perfect picnic stops en-route, not forgetting the stunning scenery.
The real beauty of this walk is that you can do as much, or as little, as you would like. If you have little legs with you then you could do a short walk. It can also be enjoyed using wheels! Watch out for the wildlife!
