Please join us on our next FREE family friendly event:
Saturday the 11th of June, 10am – 3pm @ Millom and Hodbarrow Nature Reserve.
On the 11th June The Hiking Household will be joining Tale Trails, and Hands on History, for a day of free activities around Millom and Hodbarrow Nature Reserve.
Hands on History throughout the day: a chance to collect your own Viking coin!
10am: Storytelling @ Millom Heritage and Arts centre.
1pm: Meet at Hodbarrow Nature Reserve Car Park for a short walk with Laura from The Hiking Household.
We shall be walking part of the new Tale Trail, a link from the story that children will have enjoyed earlier in the day. The walk is approximately 2.5km and is all terrain pushchair friendly, missing out the steep section up to Hodbarrow Beacon and the old windmill.
The postcode for Hodbarrow Nature Reserve is LA18 4JY and it can be accessed by road, or train. The train station is 1 mile from Hodbarrow. Full details on Hodbarrow and the facilities that are on offer can be found on the RSPB website, please click here to be redirected.
Why not head down on the train and enjoy a full day out in Millom?
We hope that you can join us for this relaxed and friendly walk. All ages are welcome and please don’t worry we will go nice and slow for the little ones joining us. The walk should last between 1 to 2 hours, depending on how many little toddler legs we have joining us.
It is not necessary to pre book a space, just turn up and enjoy a full day of free activities around Millom and Hodbarrow.
