Why we love this walk

This circular walk is an ideal walk for those with children of all ages, it is also fully accessible, flat and the backdrop is beautiful. We also love this walk as it is circular which always goes down well with the children!

Please do take care, correct walking footwear is essential. Paths can get boggy at times.

The Route

A short, easy to follow, circular route that follows the River Esk. Keeping the water on our right hand side, we did a clockwise route that led us through dirt tracks, woodland and two bridges (the children’s highlight!)

This route began at the shared car park to Langholm Primary School, you then take a small path to the River Esk. Following the river on your right hand side, you can’t go wrong! This walk is pram, and wheel, friendly but can get boggy in parts.
